PRIVATE RESIDENCE ● 2026

Mozart

PARIS, FRANCE

Nestled within a hotel particulier in the 16th arrondissement of paris, this 250 m2 pavilion, once home to the property’s stables, has been reborn as a light-filled sanctuary immersed in nature, defined by volumes of rare generosity. The residence unfolds as a subtle dialogue between heritage and modernity. At the entrance, a monumental staircase rises as the home’s true spine. Entirely handcrafted, it unfurls in sweeping curves like a white ribbon, rising across four levels and channeling natural light in a fluid, almost choreographed movement.

Reception areas flow seamlessly into one another through a succession of rectangular stone arches—architectural frames that punctuate perspective. In the kitchen, a Raku backsplash evokes piano keys animated in a palette of irregular whites. The dining room features Jean Touret chairs arranged around a bespoke table with carved, rounded wooden edges, striking a subtle balance between character and materiality. In the living room, low, elongated furniture creates a Japonisme-inspired atmosphere, while a massive oak shelving unit by Cédric Breisacher accentuates the staircase’s verticality. Two Nativ sofas by Emmanuelle Simon flank Dan Pollock’s sculptural table, and three large openings blur the boundary between interior and garden.

Downstairs, the staircase leads to a cinema lounge with rounded lines, draped in theatrical curtains. A mini-bar and a generously proportioned custom sofa share the space with a Roger Capron ceramic table, creating a cozy, private retreat for film enthusiasts. Throughout the house, sculptures, vases, and art objects punctuate the spaces, infusing the home with the spirit of a collector’s sanctuary.

The master bedroom, conceived as a suspended nest, unfolds its double height beneath exposed beams. A monumental glass arch opens onto a planted terrace, evoking the sensation of floating among the trees. A Thomas Gleb tapestry adorns the wall opposite the intimate lounge, inviting relaxation. In the bathroom, a basin carved from a single block of Burgundy stone asserts the project’s mineral strength.
